Started searching for Bass on ledges, found a good ledge and ended up catching 2, but both came off at the boat, 💯 my fault too...you would think after the first one I would have checked my hook on my scrounger but nope...lesson learned. These three pictured 2 came on a buzzbait, and the other on a shakeyhead. On my buzzbait, was fishing 50lb no faid braid from @viciousfishing, shakeyhead had no faid braid with flurocarbon leader, and when I was ledge fishing was using 100% Fluorocarbon. My buzzbait rod is a 7ft 1in @jenkofishing gambler rod casting rod in medium heavy, shakeyhead is a 7ft 2in Gambler medium action. For my scrounger, was using a Gambler 7ft 5in Medium Moderate action casting rod. Just love these rods and how light they are and they never fail me!!! Best Rods I've ever used!

If want to slay some bass/ crappie in these dog days of summer fishing grab you any of the trd Z-Man ned / bug and add a 1/32 up to 1/8 oz and let git bottom. Bring it up 2-3’ or vibrate the pole while on bottom every 10 seconds for 3/4 seconds. Repeat 5 tines. Lift rig reel in 5-6 feet drop back down repeat. Bass love it when the water temps are hot.

Spent most of the day fishing rip rap and rocky points targeting schools of bait and fish feeding on bait. Caught 2, landed one using Riot Baits square bill in green shad color with the Mustad Alpha Point treble hooks on it. I love the hooks but hook up ratios are not as good as I would have expected. I've honestly lost more fish using them in the 2 outings I've used them so far. Will give them one more chance next time I go out. Also caught one on a neko style Riot Baton in green pumpkin color on rip rap next to a dock. Conditions were good but was surprised how slow the fishing was. Overall any day on the water is better than working anyway day.
