WalleyeTechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonFallStructureRock PileWalleye were hitting well on the Fox River around rock piles using medium diving crankbaits. The Rapala Shad Rap in silver matched the minnow forage perfectly and got consistent bites in 8–10 feet of water. Action was best early and late in the day with a steady retrieve and occasional pause. And an occasional bite on bright green crank baits.

Largemouth BassTechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonFallStructureDocksThe bass had a late night bite on top water frogs especially the scum frog with paddle tail feet m. Skipping up under docks really seemed to work as they would blow up on it right under the docks.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSummerStructureRock PileThe Fox River has been producing some feisty smallmouth bass lately, especially around rocky structures. Anglers who are keying in on rock piles and using the right presentations are finding some hefty smallies. Good luck out there! Tight Lines Everyone!

DrumTechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureRock PileFreshwater drum are hitting well on the Fox River, especially when using Berkley Gulp. The bite has been strong in deeper pools and near current breaks, with most drum in the 2–4 lb range. Fish are responding best to slow presentations along the bottom, and the Gulp worms are holding their own against live bait. Midday action has been solid.

Conditions are great for consistent action. If they’re being finicky use the weedless jig.
