Over the 2 days I caught 33 Bass (32 Smallmouth 1 Largemouth). only 12 of the 33 were over 12 inches. I was fun Fishing as I love dragging a jig. Only thing that sucked was finding size.

I caught this nice sized Smallmouth Bass on a piece of nightcrawler on a light bottom setup. It fought very hard for its size.

Smallmouth bass were active along rip rap on the Fox River, hitting medium diving crankbaits worked near 8–10 feet. The silver Rapala Shad Rap matched minnow forage well and drew aggressive strikes, especially with a stop-and-go retrieve. Bite was best in moderate current and shaded spots.
