Best areas were outside river bends where current pushed up against the bank with laydowns or scattered eel grass present. Spinnerbait and a small swimbait produced the most bites.

Caught largemouth and northern pike in shallow side channels with current, the most concentrations of fish came in outside bends with wood or lily pads present. Most fish came on either an Outcast tackle heavy cover swim jig with Z-man Diezel minnowz for a trailer or an owner flashy swimmer with either a Keitech or Yum Pulse swimbait in shad patterns. Also caught some on a 6th sense quake. Caught some walleyes, perch, and crappies mixed in as well. Great time of the year to catch multi-species in the same areas on the same baits.
