Grapevine is very tough in the summer time if you do not know how to locate fish. There are thousands of brush piles in the lake but finding them and throwing the right cast is the difference between catching fish and skunking. Use your electronics to find brush piles and line up your casts. The War Eagle finesse jig is a staple among guys that do well on lake Grapevine. It has a small compact profile that fish can’t resist. Make sure to let it soak in the brush piles. I have let my jig sit totally still for 3 minutes before getting bit. Let your trailer do the work. I like the Mini D Chunk when it is cloudy or with a little wind. I bring the Berkley Meaty Chunk out when the sun is high. Good luck out there!
