Smallmouth BassTechniqueNed RigsSeasonSummerStructureRock PileThese two wanted to catch fish to celebrate their wedding anniversary. The family that fishes together stays together . Once they were able to feel the light bite they were able to land some nice fish. The temperature outside went from 73 to a chilly 50 degree morning which made us find the fish and then they were on them. It was a great morning trip.

Despite the winds we were able to locate some smallies and catch a few decent ones. The clients were fishing in 14 feet of water. The water was clear despite all of the morning rain. They had fun and will be returning.

The smile on his face says it all. The smallies are moving around and as the sun got higher and the water is so clear we moved to a little bit deeper water. It was 84 outside and the wind picked up a little and then bites started in approximately 19feet of water. Great job and hope to guide you again.

Lake TroutTechniqueVertical Jigging Deep (20'+)SeasonSummerStructureOpen Water/Basin"This is a strange report but the client hired me to guide him to lake trout, we used prototype rods and some prototype lures and some blade baits and tested multiple lines. I am not allowed to show any of the photos "yet" but we had a great day in the water in the 90-120 foot range. All I can say is that many new options for clients will be readily available soon.

SpeciesLargemouth BassTechniqueGrass JigsSeasonSummerStructureDocksDidn’t have the numbers or size day we were hoping for. Largemouth were caught on/under docks. Some smaller smallmouth were found in the 11-15’ range and caught on jerkbaits, drop shots, and live bait. Also caught a northern on a drop shot, a 16” walleye on the jerkbait, and a 15” walleye on a crawler and jig. Nothing big but enough to keep us entertained for a morning.
