The bite was tough but the small mouth were grouped up in large pods chasing minnows in 17-22 feet . Active target was key to chase the roaming suspended bass.

This was day 1 of the Badger State Kayak Championship. The lake was vary busy and fishing was tough. I managed to pull in a few decent fish drop shoting a rock pile on the north side of the lake. Unfortunately it was only good enough for 22nd after day 1.
