Smallmouth on this day were pushed up and feeding, it seems like they will be spawning later than normal this year. The conditions were cloudy which allowed the bite window for them to be pushed up into 8’ and less last a lot longer than normal. An important note with this technique is to keep it just a little bit off of the bottom to avoid fouling the bait with nasty green slime. When you found one there would usually be multiple with it to get to eat!
