Summer on Green River from May -August can be a great time to fish the ledges in the morning and night times. The mid lake area from Holmes Bend to Lone Valley traditionally have the most ledges to offer. Start searching, fishing and scanning in 10-20ft, but dont be afraid to look deeper, some can get as deep as 35-40 ft. Crankbaits, Spoons, and big worms are all great options, but day in and day out a simple Football jig is one of the most effective ways to fish the rocky ledges and get a big bite.
