The frog bite has officially kicked off on Guntersville. This time of year there isn’t a whole lot of topped out grass so I like to get up really shallow and find cheese mats with multiple different types of grass mixed in. My favorite frog to throw in these mats is the Copper Red Baits Wave Frog which they don’t have on Omnia. My favorite alternative is the Berkley Swamp Lord. I am throwing these frogs on a Daiwa Tatula Cork 7’4 heavy frog rod with an Abu Garcia Revo SX reel and 50lb braid. It’s a fun way to fish!
