Several pickups today on stickbaits in 4 - 10’ of water around lay downs. Texas rigged Senkos. Water is down and muddy. Fish are not holding on. Just reaction strikes. Recommend a reaction bait possibly.

I fished the casting for cancer tournament last Saturday at Neely and finished 2nd. I had zero practice before hand and happen to get a lucky bite flipping an ultra vibe speed craw on a half out tungsten weight 3/0 Ewg. Zero current in the morning but the ticket was flipping the outside edge of the grass or slightly in 3-6 inches and working your bait out. At 11am weiss kicked their generators on and at 12 Neely turned theirs on. It was a slow bite but it we ended up with 17lbs. All of our fish but one came from flipping. The other was a crank bait. Splatter back in a channel bend. All of our bigger large mouth came within 2 miles of city docks boat ramp. Put your head down and flip like crazy.

Fish were holding on deeper dock in the 15 feet range and it had to be slow and suttle by the dock pilings to get bit it was slow but rewarding.
