We drifted the rocky shorelines on the down wind side using Bobby Garland 2" Baby shad in a variety of colors rigged on VMC spinshot dropshot hooks. With the wind, we needed to go up to 1/4oz weights to maintain bottom contact. The was to stay shallow. We did the best in 3-7' of water. Speeds had to stay below .8mph. Drift or cruise around until you find schools. Once you locate a school drift back and forth over. Color didn't seems to matter. The key was keeping the bait closer to the bottom and use 1.5"-2" baits. The 2" size seemed to get the bigger fish.
