Summer bite has been tough. Early morning bite seems to be the window to catch your keeper bass. Bite drastically turns off around 10:30 in the morning when the sun is higher and temps rise. Ledges with standing timber or boulders with a channel close seem to be the key areas to find fish working a z-man jackhammer through the trees or beside a boulder.

Fished a tournament on 7/31 on Truman. Caught 14.80lbs with a 4.83lb big bass. I caught 1 fish on a Jackhammer, 2 on a GP senko (one wacky rigged one texas rigged), 2 on a Pitboss. Was good enough for the win but it was tough only getting 8 bites total. Did caught a couple small fish in standing timber on a brush hog. Water was still up so all 5 keepers came in flooded brush.
