TechniqueHard Body SwimbaitsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationNoticed that the bass were mixing in with carp and blue gill setting up around the shade of the weeds. Saw some top water hits as bass were ambushing from the weeds. Slow cranked the Bullgill past some of these weeds and got bit. Retrieve had to be much slower than anticipated, the bass seemed a little sluggish due to the heat so a slower retrieve helped entice them to bite a bit more.
