TechniqueUmbrella RigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged Vegetationfocus slow rolling a umbrella rig above the submerged grass or hydrilla. Imitate the bait fish you see them schooling on and have a absolute whack fest! It is a great time and turns some big bites out. We placed 1st this night with 16lbs anchored by a 9.11 Big Bass!

TechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationWith the weather not participating and the lightning and rain being so bad they would not bite anything. Only thing we could catch fish on the entire afternoon was a hollow body frog. Focus on throwing it around submerged grass in the flats and inlets. When the fishing tough and the weather is bad this will get you the bites you are looking for.

TechniqueBuzzbaitsSeasonSummerStructureDocksburning buzz baits around docks here is a for sure way to guarantee some quality bites. weather pattern does not matter for this bait on this body of water. works particularly well early morning/ late afternoon. Find your color throw it on any length MH rod and get to catching them! Focus on docks, casting past and brining the buzz bait back by! landed up 3rd place Wednesday night!

TechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureLily PadsWindy day, post frontal with wind gust up to 30MPH plus. Fishing the back side of current breaks with frogs. Made for an unbeatable day of fishing even with the conditions. Caught a ton of fish. This works here with all weather types. Get around the scattered pads or isolated patches and throw a frog! You won’t be disappointed.

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationFished the edges of submerged vegetation in 11-14 feet of water slowly dragging the dropshot. Caught 14 fish in 4 hours ranging from 11-19 inches. The Mustad Alpha Point Apex drop shot hooks pinned those fish. Very impressed as it was the first time using them

TechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureDocksSimple tactics can turn out a great day on this lake. Most people over complicate these days sometimes you just need to take it a step back. We placed 2nd on local Wednesday Nighter for this lake anchored with a 5.44lb big fish. Skipping docks with a wacky rig. It’s a blast go give it a try and weigh for that THUMP!

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationI fish here every Wednesday night for a local nighter tournament. Great place and time of year to drag around a lightly weighted texas rig. Focus grass and hopping the worm through it. Lots of small fish in this place but where you catch one there is more. Just pick your way through them.
