Water temps between 58-64° with falling air temps, had fish staged up to spawn on outside ledges and grass lines. The bite window was small, but fish were willing to bite a hair jig slowly fished along breaks outside of spawning flats. Focus on areas with a mixture of grass, wood, and hard contour changes near spawning flats. Slowly retrieve the hair jig with a medium to slow, steady retrieve. Add a small piece of Maxscent Hitworm or General to the jig for extra weight for longer casts. Also, 8lb X5 braid to a long, 30+ft 6lb fluorocarbon leader is important
