It’s cold but don’t be scared to get shallow and fish fast. These fish are on the chew, but finding the right pocket is everything. A shallow pocket with heavy vegetation has been the most consistent way to catch numbers with a big one or two mixed in. I’ve found the holes in the grass are holding fish and they are suspended. Time of day is everything. Run pockets until you find clean water and grass. Mix it up between the fluke and a drop shot. Revisit areas throughout the day to find the bite window.
