Largemouth BassTechniqueSoft JerkbaitsSeasonSummerStructureBaitfishHad a perfect summer morning for fishing with some clouds and breeze and storms in the area. Found some largemouth busting shad off of rocky points near drops into the main river channel. Long casts and working the jerkshad quickly around the elusive pods of shad proved effective. Fun way to catch some aggressive largemouth.

Largemouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureStumpsThis lake has acres of stumps in shallower water (4-6’). Working square bills through these stump fields can be very productive. Crawfish, sexy shad and chartreuse are good colors to start on. You’ll want to bounce the crank baits off the stumps and nearby rocks. This will probably result in cracked/broken bills as well as getting hung up but the risk is worth the reward!
