Flip your worm at the base of the reeds and let it sit for a few seconds, pop it off of the bottom and swim for 5-10 feet and let it sink to the bottom and leave it alone for a few seconds, bass will either pick it up on the fall or when you start your retrieve again.

I was fishing a local tournament and found a spawning pocket. This pocket had submerged hydrilla. I stayed in this pocket for 4 hours slowly fishing a Speed Worm. Ended up coming in 2nd place.
