There are several islands near the channel. Work the down-current island points, especially in the morning (sunrise -10am), with a top water popper. The morning usually has a strong top water bite so just focus on the areas where the bass are actively feeding. These areas will have bass and shad schools breaking the surface. There are carp and gar in this lake also.

Caught this 4.25 lb. beast using a 1/8 oz. shaky-head worm on a current break on the Cumberland river. Water temp was 50 degrees with 8-10 ft. visibility. Was also able to catch 7 Spotted bass and 3 Sauger on this same bait.
