Largemouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureShadFirst time one the lake this year. I thought the fish was a little further along but seemed to be still in prespawn mode. The smaller fish were up shallow. Big girls were out in lead in banks but still a little finicky. Shakey head worked but didn't catch any size.

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureLaydownsFished the first day of the Toyota Series on Barkley Lake. Was 21st after day 1 and found most of my fish on lead in banks that were relating to wood cover and rock banks. Females seem to not made the push yet to spawn where I was at mostly buck bass. Had to fish really slow and be patient.

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureLaydownsFinish 38 overall in the Toyota Series on Kentucky and Barkley Lake. I caught my fish with a Carolina Rig with a brushhog and Dragging a Texas Rig RageBug around stumps and laydowns. Weather changed a little and got cold so the fish pulled back out to the lead in banks head back to spawning flats. Hard bottom is a must.

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureBrush PilesThere is a big wave of spawners coming in. Find a bay with feeder creeks about 3/4 of the way back. Then flip the buck brush, willow trees and anything that has some cover. Hard bottom was a plus. If the sun is high try to put your bait in the shady part of the cover. If the bite doesn't come right away reel in and pitch to something else.
