In October the fish move from chasing minnows in 20-50 ft of water in big schools to pushing the minnows up into the reeds. They are highly active and will chase a buzzbait and smash it all the way to the boat! It is a very fun time of year to fish and the bass will hit anything moving fast on top. Walking Frogs and poppers also work great. This lake has small forage and smaller baits seem to perform better than larger baits.
