Flipping matted grass and Lilly pads between the hwy 280 bridge and the train trusses will definitely produce a good bite. Also working a 7.5” June bug or black with blue flake culprit worm around boat docks in pecan slough and lay downs off the main lake in 5-8 foot of water will definitely get you bit. Buzz baits early in the morning has also proved to produce some good fish.

Had a warm front come through that brought water temp up to mid 60s. Lake is 4 foot below pool and made it tough with muddy water along with cloudy windy conditions. If docks had around 5’ of water then fish were on them. Top water bite was good till about noon then you can go back through the same areas with a worm and catch a few more.

Punch matted grass. Flip around dock post and lay downs with incredi-bug and I’d be willing to bet you get bit 👍🤙

Working a worm slowly around lay downs with a 3/16 ounce woo tungsten weight has been producing the biggest fish for me. I have done well with a 3/8 ounce white and chartreuse spinner bait around grass lines.

A white spinner bait or underbelly spin jig seems to work well at times but the 7.5 inch June bug ribbon tail worm and tequila sunrise worms are a must have for this lake. I’ve caught several 5 plus pound bass out of this lake slow jigging worms in the winter months.
