Largemouth BassTechniqueBuzzbaitsSeasonWinterStructureDocksHad a warm front come through that brought water temp up to mid 60s. Lake is 4 foot below pool and made it tough with muddy water along with cloudy windy conditions. If docks had around 5’ of water then fish were on them. Top water bite was good till about noon then you can go back through the same areas with a worm and catch a few more.

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonWinterStructureLaydownsA white spinner bait or underbelly spin jig seems to work well at times but the 7.5 inch June bug ribbon tail worm and tequila sunrise worms are a must have for this lake. I’ve caught several 5 plus pound bass out of this lake slow jigging worms in the winter months.

Largemouth BassTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureBaitfishWe had a good day at lake blackshear yesterday using a underspin around bait fish located in 8-12 foot of water around the state park and boat docks on the main lake! As well as flipping a culprit worm around boat dock post 👍🤙

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureBrush PilesWe did our best around brush piles in 7-10 foot of water near shallow flats that the bass usually move into for spawning. 👍🔥

Largemouth BassTechniqueHard Topwater (Walking)SeasonFallStructureDocksWorking a walking bait around boat docks in the morning and late afternoon has worked good for me lately but working a 7.5” worm around docks has produced my best bites. Buzzbaits and lipless crank baits around rock has proved to produce some bites too

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonFallStructureDocksBoat docks off the main lake and in the front half of the creeks produced every bite today flipping around boat dock post and skipping a worm under the docks and slowly working them out 👍👍

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonFallStructureMatted GrassFlipping matted grass and Lilly pads between the hwy 280 bridge and the train trusses will definitely produce a good bite. Also working a 7.5” June bug or black with blue flake culprit worm around boat docks in pecan slough and lay downs off the main lake in 5-8 foot of water will definitely get you bit. Buzz baits early in the morning has also proved to produce some good fish.
