Largemouth BassTechniqueHard Topwater (Walking)SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationStarted off early morning with my new Megabass Giant Dog-X, close to the ramp I launched from. I was fishing a flat with some grass, it was close to a deep chanel and some boat docks. You could see the bait fish hitting the surface like they were being chased. We stopped and wham, the top water bite was on. Once the sun started hitting the spot, they quit the walking/top water baits and we started catching them on Strike King Rage Swimmers on Dirty Jig underspin's. It was a very fun morning.

Largemouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonFallStructureRock PileWent out early in the morning to try and hit the Lake Conroe dam. There was just so much bait fish I figured, temp dropping, maybe an Alabama rig. Nothing, no A-rig bites, no drop shot bites, no FFS bites nothing. Ended up going to some more rock piles and humps in a couple of coves with docks and was able to catch a few little ones. Picture is of the larges bass I caught on the Rapala DT 6. It was a tough day all around, only managed to get 5 fish all day, with only 2 being keepers. Picture is of my biggest one.

Largemouth BassTechniqueFootball JigsSeasonFallStructureRock PileAfter the early Morning bite was over on the dam I went back to the shallow rock piles and rip-rap along the road, bulk-head and bridges. I was trying different things, but Kristie stuck with the ole standby black and blue Dirty Jig Finesse Football jig with half of a Yamamoto 4" black and blue Senko. She was slaying them. Picture is of the larges one off a supe secret rock pile. LOL

Largemouth BassTechniqueDrop ShotSeasonFallStructureDamWent out to try something different. Minnows were schooling up big time, huge balls of them at the dam. Started off throwing Rapala DT 16 Crank baits, ended up switching to a drop shot. Had a lot of bites but not many got to the boat. Picture is of the biggest one I caught and got in the boat. Ended up going back to the rocks and rip-rap along the roads and bridges.

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonWinterStructureDocksWe fished Lake Conroe for the Luck of the Draw tournament in November, the weather was absolutely terrible. The wind was blowing 25 out of the north, and the night before it rained all night. We launched out of stowaway marina and ion the morning we stayed north of 1097, caught a few small fish and nothing else. After that we decided to brave the waves and run south. We fished all day flipping docks with 6th sense stoker craws and stumbled upon on solid 3.5 lber. He was in the darkest part of the dock and only bit after i soaked my bait for about a min. Fishing was tough that day for everyone but a few solid bags were brought in and the general consensus was that the fish were in the dirt.
