TechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSummerStructureDocksI went out early, trying to beat the crowd. I was on the water by 7:00 am, air temp was about 78, humid. Water temp was around 85. There was a slight breeze coming out of the South/Southeast. Started off throwing a white Dirty Jigs spinner bait around docks, up at the bulkhead and along the rip rap at the bridges and they were smashing it. Three of the four biggest bass came off the Dirty Jigs compact spinner bait, along with 3 or 4 smaller fish. Once the sun started popping out that pattern just stopped and I went to throwing a 5" Yamamoto Senko, wacky rigged, on a VMC weighted wacky weedless hook. I fished through alot of the same water I fished with the spinner bait. I did manage to catch one good size fish, but the other ones were nothing to write home about. All in I boated about 12 fish in total. Not a bad start to the holiday weekend.

TechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonSummerStructureRip RapMy nephew caught a nice fish today throwing a Strike King Rage Tail, 3.25 on a Dirty Jigs Tactical Bassin mini underspin. He caught it off a rocky point right before the rock went under the bridge, needless to say he was excited. He was using a Tatula MQ LT3000D, spooled with 10lb Seaguar Red Label fluorocarbon, on a Tatula spinning rod.
