Started off the morning with cloud cover, humid, and a slight breeze. Anyone in their right mind would be thinking buzz bait/spinnerbait, but no takers. I ended up going back to what worked the last couple of weekends. It was real slow at first but when it turned on the big ones came out to feed. I was pitching a black and blue Dirty Jig finesse football jig, with a Yamamoto Senko as a trailer. When that slowed I went to a 4" black and blue Yamamoto Senko, wacky rigged and kept on catching them. Picture is of the biggest one. It was just over 19 inches long, skinny and still close to 6 pounds. Good day all around.

Since the bait I used the weekend before worked so well I thought I would go back to my go to colors. Old school brown Dirty Jigs Football jig, with a green pumpkin w/chartreuse tail trailer. I found that trimming the jig trailer back just to the bottom of the hook bend, and using about 3" to 3 1/2" of the Yamamoto Senko produced the most and largest bites. I was able to catch quite a few fish the the one in the photo being one of the biggest ones.
