TechniqueGrass JigsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationUsed the omnia pro map to see the steepest breaks adjacent to sand/hard bottom and higher water temps. Fished seemed to be holding to tight breaks. Caught most on a Stealth Feider with an ultra vibe speed craw and a few on a ned and wacky right.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureHumpsBass were schooled up on weed edges of humps/peninsulas. Fishing Texas rigged ribbontail worms in natural colors seemed to work best.

TechniqueVertical Jigging Deep (20'+)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureLedgesEarly Crappie fishing is a great time to catch a few fish, right after the ice goes off the fish are normally deep. Use your electronics to locate schools. Look outside the shallow bays and channels on the first and second break. When you find them spot lock over them and vertical jig them watching your jig on your electronics and let the fun begin. Tie a short piece of mono about 3 feet to the jigging rap then to a small barrel swivel and to the braid. Good Luck

TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationLargemouth are schooled up by size so it may take a while to locate the bigger ones offshore but when you do - hit spot lock and stay hydrated! Cruise the drop offs looking for bluegills adjacent to the drop and suspended over the deep grass. Start with wacky rig dropshot and then rotate jigs, neds, texas rigs when the bite slows.

TechniqueGrass JigsSeasonSummerStructureReedsMy parents live on the lake and I watched boat after boat come thru the reeds with Texas rigs, moving baits etc. I noticed that the reeds were getting beat up pretty hard and producing less and less fish. While casting off the dock (and from the boat), I threw my jig, ned rig, dropshot a few feet from the edge of the reeds and shook slack. Be patient with pressured fish. Slow presentations such as ned rigs and drop shots produced the most offshore bites

TechniqueGrass JigsSeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationThe fish were a little more spread out as fish appear to be entering their fall patterns. We had air temperatures in the high 40s/low 50s at night which is cooling the water fast. Bass were caught on weed edges in 12-16 fow with healthy green vegetation during the day. In the evening, I caught bass patrolling the flats adjacent to emergent vegetation. Again, the 6th sense hybrid jig in grass mutant with a green pumpkin burst stroker craw was the way to go.
