While live suckers are whacking the snot out of them, a hard hitting, rolling jerkbait can still trigger strikes. Throwing parallel to submerged grass and really snapping the rod caused the most success. Dumped two that hit like freight trains and landed this dude.

Good outing, water was pretty clear, still seeing a lot of bass in 1-2’ of water. Caught all of my fish targeting isolated vegetation in 6-8’ of water with a spiral rigged zoom finesse worm.

But you can catch nice bass too--my PB largemouth was here 2 years ago. Both species crush the dropshot in the summer in 12 to 18 feet on a sharp dropoff and weed edge near the northwest corner of the lake. Slow rolling a chatterbait is a reliable method as well.

Fishing a Core Ozark rig with a Zoom Fluke along the NW weed line in about six feet of water. Landed four bass, three of them were over three pounds.

Caught a decent largemouth early afternoon working a spiral neko rig into scattered grass. Water was stained from yesterday’s rain, with about 2ft of visibility. I let the bait fall on a semi-slack line, and most of the bites came right as it hit bottom or during that first subtle lift. The spiral fall from this rig seemed to trigger a reaction strike from otherwise hesitant fish.

Water visibility is super clear when there isn’t any rain usually up to 10-15ft you can spot fish. When heavy rain you can see up to 8 feet maybe a little less.

Targeting isolated vegetation in 4-6 feet of water with the Ozark rig. After multiple days of rain, the water is stained. Still seeing bass and bluegills in the shallows.
