Boulders
We've been targeting deep, isolated boulders away from the pack. Most boats are fishing shallower while we're fishing deep. Water temps are in the mid to high 40's and we've been able to capitalize on the deep fish starting to come up. We've used three main baits or techniques to find and locate big smallmouth on Lake Erie. Utilizing moving baits like the Strike King Rage Swimmer have allowed us to find their hiding place and drop on them with a tube or dropshot. Don't be afraid of the outer realm, they're home and the bite is hot.

Fishing rip rap banks and break walls with a jerkbait just Playing with the cadence until I found the one they wanted, it was hot and heavy after that, conditions were bright blue sky's with little to no wind, ended my day with 5 for 17.75 lb.
