TechniqueStructure JigsSeasonFallStructureLaydownsWorking a structure jig through lay downs and submerged timber produced the biggest bites for us in and around grass creek which is just south of Florence Marina. Although a buzz bait also is sure to get you bit as well. A 7.5” junebug culprit worm around grass lines and lay downs also produces several fish.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonFallStructureLaydownsWe had a good day the other day at lake eufaula Alabama. Using the 7.5” culprit original worm in tequila shad as well as plumb apple around lay downs produced the best bites. Using a square bill and spinner bait around rip raff and lay downs will definitely get you bit as well 👍

TechniqueHard Topwater (Popping)SeasonFallStructureMatted GrassSo we fished the MLF BFL Regional on the one and only... Lake Eufala!!! Wasn't super excited to be back here as this fishery can be a VERY tough place to land... Last trip here we were out way deep but this tourney I couldn't really get comfortable in the "depths". I wound up staying shallow and fishing around the mats of grass located in the backs of creeks. I would parallel the mats and fish buzzbaits and even a popper alongside the mats and take advantage of fish that were set up under the mats ready to come blowing out and chase a bait... We caught the biggest fish of the entire tourney at 7.6 pounds... ON A POPPER!!!! It was awesome! Feel free to reach out with any and all questions!

TechniqueSwim JigsSeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationFocused north of Lake Point Marina, along the main river channel (Chattahoochee). Specifically, largemouth bass were holding (ambushing) prey along emergent grass beds that were placed sporadically along the bank (approx 10 ft off bank). As with any river system, these bass use the grass beds for cover, ambushing, but mainly just to escape the current. This pattern was HOT, but be sure to use typical flipping/pitching gear (50 lbs braid min) due to the heavy cover.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonFallStructureLaydownsMy best fish and bites were produced flipping a Texas rigged worm around lay downs in the back half of grass creek near flora Dr marina. A buzz bait and a thunder cricket around grass lines also proved to be productive 👍

TechniqueBuzzbaitsSeasonFallStructureMatted GrassI found some fish in the grass working a popping frog out of it. It didn’t get many bites but put a few of the good ones in the boat. Fish were still on lay downs and if you threw a buzz bait around them they would come out and get it.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonFallStructureDocksTry slow fishing boat dock around Pautala creek and Sandy branch has been great especially ones with brush piles off the end of them for the biggest bites. Your going to get bit a lot fishing this way and I recommend the 7.5 inch june bug culprit original worm with a 3/16 oz weight and 15lb fluorocarbon. The culprit worm has proved to be the best in my opinion because it just gets bit as well and just last longer compared to other worms on the market. Jerk baits and square bills around rip raff as well spinner baits around grass lines will also get you bit but the best bites has definitely been working a worm around boat docks in Pataula creek and the Sandy branch area.
