These bass were up really shallow protecting fry. It was already really hot out and I started fishing in the deeper water. I heard some fish up in the reeds and saw a lot of them cruizing between the reeds. I was able to get a Monster to come out and inhale the sixth sense flush 5.2 and it was a fish I wont soon forget. I was using a 4/0 hook but it really is made for a 5/0 hook. Make sure you get some 5/0 hooks because I missed 2 of the 3 fish I had bite becuase the hook did not get penetration. The 5/0 hook sits perfect on the bait and the point lines up with the back fin. It is a remarkable setup and an amazing bait to fish with. It is heavy enough to cast without weight and the tail has an amazing flutter on the fall.
