Water cooled through the week due to overnight lows in the 40’s. Then the weather warmed to the 90’s for highs. I stood on the dock and caught 4-5 largemouth bass and two walleye. I was using the Berkley Hit Stick 7 in pink but that wasn’t an option in reporting.

Most of the fish chased a swimbait and just looked at it. I switched to the lipless crankbait and they attacked it. I was fishing a long submerged hump that had emerging grass growing. I’d never had success with these before—they’re new to me. So when I lost my only one, I was pretty bummed. They’re not available now, but I’ll buy a bunch when they are!
