Major cold front conditions on the Harris Chain with water temps for the day starting at 48 degrees and working up to 52 degrees. I was targeted eelgrass and hydrilla that was growing just off the edge of Kissimmee grass in 3-5' of water using a 1/2 oz Jackhammer and Missile Baits Freedom Flyer. The Freedom Flyer has a tight wobble to it which is perfect for cold water conditions.

Fish were in the prespawn, spawn and postspawn phase on lake Harris. I was fishing offshore submerged hydrilla in 3-7ft of water. I was using a straight retrieve along with a yo-yo up and down retrieve with the Arashi Vibe crankbait. I would look for grass areas that were patchy and had bare spots in the grass that sometimes contained hard bottom or shell. The bites would come in flurries. It would be dead with no activity for quite some time and then the fish would fire and you'd catch 3-4 in a row.
