Traveled down to Lake Hartwell to fish on Friday ahead of the cold front. Water conditions were good with visibility of 8+ ft and temps of 57-60 around the main channel islands and near the dam. Slightly more stained with visibility of 3+ ft and slightly higher temps up to 62 as we moved above Clemson Road in Six and Twenty Creek. Air temps were in the mid-to-high 70s with 5-10 mph winds and mostly sunny skies until late afternoon. Bait fish were plentiful up the Creek on primary and secondary points, but we found zero bites. Much better luck in and around the main channel in a variety of spots: (1) around points and pockets on the Tugaloo River side of Shaw Island using a 3.8” Keitech Swing Impact FAT Swimbait in Electric Shad; (2) along docks ~ 1.5 miles up on the north side of the Tugaloo using a 6.5” Zoom Trick Worm in Green Pumpkin on a 3/16 oz Owner Ultrahead Shaky Head; and (3) on the rip-rap around Big Oaks Recreation Center near the dam using a Jackall TN 70 Lipless Crankbait in Craw Fish.

Largemouth were biting in 3-7’ of water. Fishing rocky banks in stained water creeks.
