Striped Bass
TechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureLedgesFound a big school of fish around 15 ft of water on a drop off, tried a crankbait and chatterbait with no success, so I switched to a dropshot. First cast got hit immediately and we pulled up a 6 pound striper. We were able to get a couple smaller ones after that.

TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationIt was a day of hunting in the grass, ticking the tops of submerged vegetation with the chatterbait got them to come out and bite!

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueBladed JigsSeasonSummerStructureLedgesFound a bunch of fish sitting in 10ft of water right on a ledge. Tried a few different approaches, got some bites on a crankbait, but as usual, getting the jackhammer down there really did it. My best fish in the area was a 3 pound smallmouth that left his herring lunch behind in the livewell.

TechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonSummerStructureLedgesThe fish were showing up at 10' throughout the lake, I followed that contour line at ledges near grass lines and got down there with a chatterbait and DT 10. The chatterbait got some fish as usual, but the DT 10 was what they were really looking for this time. Stick to natural colors as they've been chasing bait fish all summer.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureDocksSpent the afternoon flipping shallow docks near grass and got some great fish! I used a smaller 3/16 oz weight since I was pretty shallow and hopped a ribbon tail worm along the docks. Most of my bites came near the corner of the docks.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureDocksWent out for daybreak before 4th of July weekend to beat the boat traffic. Saw some fish breaking the surface but couldn't get a topwater bite. Weightless texas rigged senkos, and lightly weighted texas rigged worms inside boat slips and on dock edges did the trick.

Largemouth Bass
TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSummerStructureDocksTargeted shallow docks in weed flats just before dusk the other night. It was right after a cold front so the slow presentations worked best. A Texas rigged senko did the trick, with some dropshot mixed in.
