The bass are up shallow and spawning, now's the time to find those flats and spawning areas searching for fish on or around beds. My favorite techniques this time of year are to drag a carolina or texas rig with a lizard imitation around the beds. You will likely be in shallow water, so a smaller weight to give it a slow, natural presentation works best.

Today I slow rolled a medium sized swimbait along the bottom of submerged weed edges in 10-12 ft of water. The fish weren't huge but I found one with an interesting deformity/injury

After the sun went down we headed over to the baitfish platform in front of Dows and started marking a ton of fish on the graph. The dropshot about a foot off the bottom got a handful of crappie in the boat.
