They were relating to the hard-to-soft bottom transition on the edges of the main basin. I was able to drill right on top of them and sit for a half hour and pull half dozen fish out of the school. Not skittish at all today.

Find the smaller clumps of red top milfoil floating near the top. Finesse style drop shot with a green pumpkin Chart tail Zoom Trick worm 1/4 weight. Hang on and enjoy the ride. This lake is full of 1 to 4 pound fish on all weed edges. Fish can be located in 8 to 14 feet of water just follow the weed lines.

Look for the deep holes. 40 feet seemed to be the best.

Flip the edges of the weed flats and the open pockets as well. Most fish were striking on the fall so you can fish relatively fast and cover water.

Fishing report is for 5/23/2023. Weather was light breeze, sunny with a high of about 80. Water temps were 69 to 71.5 and the bass were up shallow. Caught several small to medium fish on topwater fished slow and wacky senkos. Overall a great day. Also got to see a bunch of yellow headed black birds!
