Bass appear to be moving to the shallows this time of year. They are hitting on crank baits, my favorite is the DT 3 (which they no longer make) but the DT 4 or the rapala brat 3 will do just fine. They are hitting on the pause so don't fish them too fast.

Spent an evening fishing this lake for the first time. Focused on points with hard, rocky bottom. Most of these areas had large schools of bluegill. No big bites, but did catch a few dragging a football jig in 15-20 feet of water.

Caught most of my fish on a DT-16 bluegill crankbait offshore fishing around dropoffs and schools of bluegill. Caught two big ones dragging a football jigs under the schools of bluegill and baitfish.

Jigs fished along the weedlines in 10-12' fow were producing the most bass during a recent kayak tournament. Most milfoil has been cut, so punching options were limited, however in the remaining topped out patches of milfoil, we were able to find a few more fish.
