- Species
Largemouth BassTechniqueDrop ShotSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationDrop shotting a small swimbait in a light color produced unbelievable numbers of fish, most were small but the first couple bites usually had more size, occasionally changing to a dark bait would also generate larger bites. Targeted shallower water around 6-8ft, outside weed edge with rocks. Rocks with no weeds was a no go. A simple stop and go retrieve worked slowly would get bit nearly every cast.

- Species
Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationOutside weed lines have produced a number of fishing from 12 to 19 inches, with most in the 13-16 inch range. Finesse best of late with pegged 1/16 ounce tungsten bullet weight and 7-inch Berkley PowerWorm in black/blue or green pumpkin. Wacky rigged worms also good, particularly The General

Largemouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationWeed clumps are loaded with bass right now in 3 to 7 feet of water. Expect curly leaf pond weed to die out on next few weeks, so now is the time. Catching them on weightless wacky rigs with 5-inch Berkley The General in either PowerBait or PowerBait Max Scent. Green pumpkin and other colors are good. Using Fusion 19 Drop Shot hook in 2/0. Great hook-up ratios and low issues with weed fouling hook.

Largemouth BassTechniqueStructure JigsSeasonSummerStructureDocksOuting was on July 19, 2023. Fish were biting up shallow due to incoming storm. Caught about 4 near docks on a jig and another 4 or so on a frog as the storm came in. Great outing with my Dad. Only fished a bit under 2 hours due to lightning. Got off the lake just in time. They really seemed to want to absolutely kill the Spro Flappin Frog, no light taps or anything, just ferocity. See the picture for the storm line!

Largemouth BassTechniqueFrogs/ToadsSeasonSummerStructureLily PadsThis report is for 7/13, fished from about 4pm to about 7:30pm. Was mostly sunny, light breeze and hot. During this time there was also a small 16 boat bass derby going on. So lots of pressure. Had a bunch of hits on a Teckel Sprinker, but no real takers, seemed to just be swiping at it. So switched up to the Big Gabot and they started eating it up! Caught a couple nice ones in the slop on it. Also had some luck on a black/blue D-bomb up shallow near docks.
