If you are looking for hood panfish action, look no further than this awesome lake! Great and east shore access. Bring a pair of waders, or if you don’t mind getting a little wet, wet wait the shore lines. Bluegills from 4-9” are in their beds right now and are actively biting anything that drops into the water. Use a 3/8” thill pencil bobber with a long shank Aberdeen size 8 hook with crawlers and you’ll have plenty of action all day. Remember to be selective and release the big girls. Catch Photo Release. Caught green sun fish, pumpkin seeds and bluegills. Lots of baitfish swimming around the shorelines. If you want great fly fishing action, use a small light colored poppers and cast away with a 1-3wt fly rod. Plenty of action and it is way cooler than bass on top water. It’s fun watching the gills hit your popper as they come almost cleanly out of the water! So cool to see! I would recommend some fly fishing poppers Get out there and have some fun!

Fishing report for 6/7/2033, sunny with temps in the upper 70s. First Wednesday night tournament of the year. Water was still relatively clear and not to green yet. Our tournament strategy was to fish as shallow and dirty as possible, which in the end maybe wasn't the best strategy based on results. We finished 10th out of 20 boats. Not too bad for our first ever tournament. Caught 4 small to medium on a frog and one on an outside weedline on a Dbomb. Overall good night, just needed to be able to cull out a couple lbs and would have been close. Overall we ended up with 8.78lbs with the winner having 13.10lbs.
