Was an overcast day with lots of boat traffic coming out of a week it had rained the last 5 days in a row, slightly windy running from 4-6 mph, talking to some guys at the boat ramp a lot of people were leaving skunked but I did manage to catch a few using this technique over the couple hours I was there.

The topwater bite at sunrise is on fire. I had luck on pop-r, wake baits and jerk baits. The smallies and spots were chasing bait all around main lake points.

I’ve been trolling the deep drop offs of main lake points in 25-35’ of water. I’ll follow that ledge from the tip of the point all the way back into the cove. I’m targeting the points where the wind is blowing into the coves.
