The bass are chasing herring like crazy. Mostly open water near main lake or secondary points. Not quite deep in the backs of coves yet. I was trolling flicker shads and 5xds which resulted in several fish landed. Keep a topwater handy while trolling in case you see a blowup in range.

Was an overcast day with lots of boat traffic coming out of a week it had rained the last 5 days in a row, slightly windy running from 4-6 mph, talking to some guys at the boat ramp a lot of people were leaving skunked but I did manage to catch a few using this technique over the couple hours I was there.
