Largemouth BassTechniqueStructure JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationFish tend to group up in offshore grass near the channel swings during the post spawn. This is a stopping point for fish as they move out of spawning areas and back towards the deeper water areas that they sit during summer month. Fish on Lancer tend to group by size, so don’t get stuck on smaller caliber fish. Be willing to move around until you find the larger 2.5 – 3lb fish. Fishing a heavy ½ to 1oz jig is a good way to elicit reaction strikes when flipping to grass clumps and edges. When dragging a jig, I prefer a ½ oz on Lancer. Look for areas in 6-8 fow near deeper water (10+ fow)
