I never felt the fish hook up, just felt added weight and the rod would bend into the resistance. Most catches were with 1 hook from the treble hook in the lip!

Action was slow during the day. Picked up late afternoon early evening. Best fish was a 4 pound small mouth caught after dark on the choppo. Except for the small mouth no other fish were “after dark.

Used the PopMax to target suspending Smallmouth that were chasing schools of bait. Quick pops near active bait was the deal.
