We caught 3 bass by flipping the reeds and Kissimmee grass in 3 to 4' of water. The fish seemed to be about 4' back from the outer edge of the reeds Pretty lake with about 2'(from what little we saw) visibility and tons of hydrilla in open water.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonWinterStructureMatted GrassFished the afternoon (12/26/21), sunny, west wind, air temp 75-80, water temp 67. I focused my fishing around the deeper Kissimmee grass weedlines. Look for water that is at least 5-6 feet deep right along the edge of the grass and flip the plastic into the holes in the grass. Most of my bites came on the initial drop, but I did get a few letting it sit and shaking it for a bit.

TechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureLily PadsWhile there is a ton of crappie in Lake Marion, there are some great bass to be found. Buck bass are up shallow and the ladies are cruising on the edges of the grass line and hyacinths. Was able to find success running texas rigged worms and senkos along shallow pads and sparse Kissimmee grass. Also had success with small swim jigs in similar areas.
