I had to back the trailer a quarter mile to the ramp to leave. The fish must not have wanted anything I tried, smallmouth or large mouth, all I caught was skunk. Probably never driving 2 hours for this again.

I located underwater saddles surrounded by deep water and worked them alternatively with the 1.5 KVD squarebill crankbait and the KVD watermelon craw lipless crankbait. Both baits were equally effective. Fish were very active with 20MPH winds making it tough to fish out of my Hobie kayak. Finished with over ten Smallies and one 11 1/2 inch Bluegill which hit the crankbait. Cool bycatch! Great day during some challenging wind conditions.

We caught a limit of smallies on Maxi , focusing on sand and rocky areas in the morning , then 10 fow on the flats in the afternoon.

Had to make really long casts in order to get the bait as far away from the boat as possible since the fish were super skittish. Used a green pumpkin Berkley The General Maxscent in weeds to catch largemouth.

Skipped under a marina dock, and was able to get a 2.56lb largemouth that was protecting fry.
