Smallmouth BassTechniqueDeep Diving Crankbaits (13'+)SeasonFallStructurePointsWater temp was 42 and the air temp was warm today at 50 degrees. Water clarity was about 10 feet. I caught a few early on the dark sleeper, but I could tell they were wanting something moving faster and switched to the deep six. I fired up a school burning it as fast as I could reel and caught 12 really fast and 4 more over the next hour. I put two 3+ pounders in the boat

Largemouth BassTechniqueStructure JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureSubmerged VegetationThe boat ramp isn’t terrible, but parking is weird. I had to back the trailer a quarter mile to the ramp to leave. The fish must not have wanted anything I tried, smallmouth or large mouth, all I caught was skunk. Probably never driving 2 hours for this again.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonFallStructureHumpsAir temp 40 water temp 49 water clarity 10 ft. Partly sunny with 7-10 mph wind. Smallmouth were suspended at about 10 ft in 15 ft of water. I couldn't get a reaction out of them with any but a jerbait. After the temp warmed up I caught a few on a keitech casting jig with a pit boss trailer in 15 ft of water.

Smallmouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureHumpsI located underwater saddles surrounded by deep water and worked them alternatively with the 1.5 KVD squarebill crankbait and the KVD watermelon craw lipless crankbait. Both baits were equally effective. Fish were very active with 20MPH winds making it tough to fish out of my Hobie kayak. Finished with over ten Smallies and one 11 1/2 inch Bluegill which hit the crankbait. Cool bycatch! Great day during some challenging wind conditions.
