The water on the main lake was cold at 44 degrees. Never found the fish except for one pike in about 8 fow. People in boats reported good action in shallow before the cold front.

We had our WKFC Tournament on the Madison Chain April 24, 2021. 23 out of 40 anglers did not post a catch, including me. The water was sub 50 degrees where I fished most of the day. The water was clear down to 8". I tried bladed baits, cranks and a variety of finesse styles. Nada, zippo, nothing! The warm weather this week should change things!

Prefished the lake for a kayak tourney. Found the warmest water, and found the bass tucked under docks. Skipping a Berkley Maxscent General was the only thing that was working.

Very windy day forced me into the marina to get out of the 2-3 foot waves. Fishing was slow but managed to find a pair of bass on the end of docks. One was a nice 4.64 lb Largemouth.

I caught this throwing in rock piles right along the bank. The bass seemed to be in the shading waiting to ambush whatever came their way.
