What a beautiful opener we had in MN this year. Largemouths were schooled up in 3-5 feet of water around fresh submerged vegetation. Making a long cast and reeling a swim jig through the vegetation. Also found smallies cruising in 6-7 foot sand flats with more activity near rocks. Leading them and timing them with a black hair jig seemed to be the ticket. Water temps in the morning were between 56-57 degrees but by afternoon where 59-69 degrees.

Paired this trailer with an Untamed Tackle Ace Jig. The profile was definitely what they wanted as I caught several key fish on this combo. Ace Jig's smaller size allowed them to eat more of the jig even though they were biting soft.
