    Fishing near points and drop offs. The smallmouth were either right on the edge of the weeds/drop off or under overhanging trees. They went for the bladed lure to start, then I switched over to a slower presentation, which seemed to work reasonably well.

    Sandy flats, anything black with blue fleck. Packs of 4-5 largemouth and smallmouth cruisers, catch one and the smallmouth will eat anything behind it.
