Running & gunning mid-lake points the first few hours of the day slinging a bone colored walking bait will produce plenty of blow ups but once the sun tops the trees or clouds burn off switch it up & pull out the drop shot rod & fan cast around the bait balls you find on your electronics. Light line (6lb) has been key for me putting a few extra in the boat during the heat of the day.

If you you prefer targeting largemouth bass over spotted bass then look for laydowns right now. Laydowns in small coves off the main lake have been productive. If you can find steep banks with deep water thats even better as they like to transition without much effort.

Fish north 6/24. Morning shakeyhead bite was hot using a riot baits probe worm. 1/4oz shakeyhead. As the morning progressed, fished moved deeper and docks became the main focus once the sun got high. Jig produced bigger bites in the afternoon/after lunch.
