Bass have been biting great on football jigs and shakeyheads off main lake points. There is also a good top water bite early on a popping bait and frog.

I fished a big tournament on this lake in the fall. I was able to catch a solid 3.5 pound bass on a football jig next to one of the many pine tree island sections of the lake. We got one more bass off a dock on a jig. Besides those two, we caught a handful yo-yoing bladebaits and spoons over deep river channels.

There are 2 bites going on. The shallow grass bite and the deep shad bite. Cover water shallow with a toad, frog or swim jig. Fish offshore with spoons, drop shots and an A Rig. Finding shad is key.
