They seem to work best on overcast days or in the evening. I’ve caught the most bass with a pop and pause retrieve, but with the warmer weather walking it also works.

November 13–Despite the cold, I had to go try for some largies at the pond. I ended up nearly dead-sticking a micro jig with little drags to catch a couple of nice bass. The better one, about two pounds, is pictured. I targeted drop offs. What’s key is the trailer. I cut about the last two inches off of a finesse worm and used it as a trailer.
