TechniqueStructure JigsSeasonFallStructureDocksI was skipping docks 1/4 to 1/2 way back in creeks. My better fish was coming from the back corners and floats on the cables/walk ways on the brighter parts of the day. I would focus on docks near channel swings and secondary points. Any brush was playing in these area was playing as well. I was catching them in 8 to 12 foot of water and had a 14.50 lb bag for the day. I was spiking the tips of the pinchers with orange spike it. Also didn't hurt to keep reapplying the Garlic Bang scent since fishing has been tough at the Ozarks.

TechniqueNed RigsSeasonFallStructurePointsBig Bass Bash! Water temps were still in SUMMER ranges and the days were HOT. Blue bird skies and little wind made it tough. Fishing points, the wind seemed to activate the bite. A little bit of everything was working for small fish. Nothing over 2 pounds though.

TechniqueTubesSeasonFallStructureBrush PilesDay two of the Big Bass Bash. Several fish were caught still out on the points but the wind shifted and so did the shad. Later in the day, flipping brush piles and log jams produced several 2 pound fish but nothing bigger. Shad seemed to have disappeared or at least gone deeper compared to the day before.

TechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonFallStructureBaitfishFished the BFL Super on LOZ. Caught 11-03. Ended up catching 3 of my fish on a Strike King Series 4 crankbait under big piles of shad in the middle of a pocket. Garmin Livescope really was key for this bit as I would find the school of shad and fire my cast to run the bait right through them. Lost a couple good fish doing that as well. I also caught some fish on the Ike jig a Normal Fat Boy and a Zoom Super Fluke. Ended up in 59th out of 181 not enough to make the cut. but it was a beautiful day and fall is upon us.
