Seemed like fish were post spawn since there was a lot of fry in the Kissimmee grass. No bites in the Kissimmee grass but got all my bites from the reed clumps a few yards away. All my fish came from the bigger clumps of pencil reeds fishing with a flipping jig getting it as far back as I could.

Bite has been picking up on Lake O! Finding protected spawning areas with hard bottom and milking them for all they are worth has been key. Bait of choice has been the Gambler Lures Fat Ace in a dark color. My personal favorite is Black and Blue with the Blue tail or Green Pumpkin/ black blue flake laminate for cleaner water. Throwing it with a 5/0 straight shank hook like a gamakatsu heavy cover and pegging a 1/4 Oz tungsten sinker has been very key. Casting past targets and doing a slow drag through and around the cover has been the technique.
